Default German photo of a French church

Hi guys, I bought this sweet locket. Its a bring back of a german soldier (Obergefreiter of a Panzerdivision) from France for his wife or girl friend. Made by Houbigant France, a famous cosmetics producer. It was originally a powder tin. I think his wife put later photos of the soldier in this locket to remember him. One of the photos shows a church in France. Can anyone tell me the name of it? On the backside is written "July 1939" and something else.

It's not a French church; it's the Christuskirche in Mainz.

(That's also the word in Sütterlin script: "Christuskirche".)
