Thanks Sensai, your comment keeps me optimistic, unfortunately this is kind of time sensitive.

    All the best,

It's genuine but the $500 price is pretty stiff.

What would you say would be a fair price for it?

Ah I've seen this on e militaria! Hard to put a "fair" price in my opinion. Paperwork is hard to price and on top of that this is a rare item. I think 500 is close to fair, maybe 400. It's pre war which I think hurts it's value, something during the war or related to the war would increase the value in my eys, but still a great, rare piece. If you love it, buy it. The real question is what is it worth to you? Also, why is this time sensitive? I don't see pending buyer or anything.

As said above, I would say $400 would be a closer to realistic value. It depends on what you plan to do with it-if you're buying as an investment or just to have a signature. As an investment, it's probably not the best option, as Goering signed thousands and thousands of documents(Something he came to realize with not the best of feelings at Nuremberg). The pieces that collectors all hope to find are significant documents concerning memorable events or people. But, if you're simply looking for something that Goering handled and signed, it's fine for that purpose. I wouldn't stash it away for your retirement fund, though-but it Would look nicely professionally matted and framed..
