    I don't know why someone would place a postcard into a frame backwards,
    unless they understand German and the text was super important
    or something. The period stamps are all quite common.

    The photo is a reprint, and by the looks of it, is a solicited souvenir
    that was sent or given to an autograph seeker ?

    Tabs I don't know a lot about - but I don't like them.
    Perhaps I might be corrected by someone with
    knowledge on these.........

    The tabs are spookily like a repro set I have from "at the front"...

    the SS tab is original the other Iam not sure on.

    Because it has the SS letters and ink stamp on it perhaps?

    Looks like the photo with the red text on the back is from a Unterscharfuhrer whom is in a US POW camp to a GI. Maybe they got friendly with eachother.

    I disagree. That bevo variant should look like this.

    The correct detailing one would expect to find in a original example isn't present in the O.P's tab. The stitching is not as close as on a original example, either.

    If you took the buckram off, I'd expect your back to look identical to this example, which is a reproduction.
