Holland 45

A dear collector friend of mine sent me this very interesting pic yesterday. It is from somewhere in holland 45, and shows a column of very exotic WH soldiers from the Russian steppes.

These men are at this point smiling of relief of surviving their stressful ordeal since the 30s, not knowing that NKVD`s deep and nameless mass graves are waiting for many many of them.

Yep they would suffer the same fate as the cossacks in German service!...

There was a Georgian Legion based on the island of Texel which eventually rose up against the German troops stationed with them.
