Exclamation I have this item: Anschriftensammlung der 2nd KP, 1st Pz Rgmt.

Ok, I recently got this 2-page document which apparently is the names to all the men serving in the 2nd Kompanie of Panzer Regiment 1. This list containes all the names of the men serving in that Kompanie as of sometime in the latter part of 1941 and on the Leningrad Front. It lists these mens addresses, a few positions they held within the Kompanie and some of those who were Killed-in-Action. Also, there is at least one Knights Cross Recipient on the list and a possible Knights Cross w/ Oaks Recipeint on it too.

Outside weather pemitting, I will list their info here-minus their addresses.

I don't think there is a direct translation for Anschriftensammlung but i guess it means a collection of names and addresses for the company.
That sure is a nice list to have, and I guess a hard one to come by. I bet you could spend weeks researching some of that lot.

    Nice one

It's one of the most difficult tasks, putting together the names of company / platoon / section members from scattered details !

Nice job in compiling them !

Hi Gents, you all quite welcome and I really can't take credit of any real research on these men---yet ;-)) However, as soon as things slow down a bit for me, im going to add anything i can find out-including making sure who on the list Won the CCC in Gold, DKiG and RK-plus unit background as soon as time permits. I hope to make this one constantly upgraded effort ;-))

If anyone else finds anything out-it will be very much welcomed. Also, if I get lucky next week, I might be able to buy a few pictures of men and tanks in this regiment that I have been told is going to be up for sale by then.

Hi Philip, I don't know if the dealer I got it from has more documents like these but-no telling I got very lucky on these by stumbling upon them by accident. The two page documents are in terrible condition and one is almost ripped in half.

I hve something else I picked up years ago from a good friend from Holland. He wanted a book I had as trade for the item-which I gladly traded away. What I have I do not know what these are called but, it has a fascimile of a DKiG on the top of at least page one. This is a 4-page list that has about 20 or so names of men on each page that was awarded the DKiG and I think these lists were put out every 2 weeks or so?

Anyway, one night I couldn't sleep I decided to try looking up a few of the familiar-sounding names on the list-in my book of RKTs listings-and I found several on that DKiG list who later became RKTs. This list I think only includes men from the Army and Waffen SS. I don't recall if any men in the Luftwaffe were on it or not? also, no men from the Kriegsmarine are on my list. I don't know if that means that they were on a seperate list? or on one that had the KM and LW gents on it?

Until I had been contacted about my friend having this 4-page list, I never knew any such list was ever produced.
