Identifying a goverment official from 1944...

Article about: Hello, Been trying to solve this mystery for some time now. I am not able to find ANYTHING online about this Max Roy who was stationed in Bucharest during the war... Any suggestions?? Thanks

    I am not able to find ANYTHING online about this Max Roy who was stationed in Bucharest during the war...

    He used the passport twice in 1944 to travel to Hungary.

    God help him, if he was In Bucharest then, as almost exactly 2 months later, Romania folded and quit. Bucharest was Terribly damaged by bombing and assault. If he was a minor German official, it is quite possible that he was some sort of inspector of the vitally needed oil refineries, as at this point, the Allied bombing campaign of them was rapidly being accelerated. He may have been sent to assess the damage and see what could be done to salvage operations.
    The pass was good for 1 year (to June 1,1945!) but I'm not seeing where it had any further usage, so he may possibly been killed, captured or lost in the chaos. A Very interesting document, in any case!

    Yes, correct.
    There is markings inside indicating he was in a POW camp and released at the end of 1945...
