Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

The first award document is signed by Divisional Commander Generalleutnant Max Fremerey when the Divison were south of Bryansk during Barbarossa. Fremerey was awarded the RK on 28/7/1942 for command of the Divison during the fighting at Mzensk during the winter 1941/42 . The recipient of the awards Kurt Ede was KIA during this fighting.

The second one is a nice early signature of Generalmajor Hans Hecker whilst commanding Pi Btl 29 , Hecker was a very early RK on 5/8/1940 for command of the same unit during the French campaign.
