    Default Large Reichsbahn 'Railway' Eagle

Well I am writing for a bit of advise as I currently have a German eagle in my collection though not sure of the current price of these items. I believe it to be an original WWII German Reichsbahn Eagle made from aluminium and taken from a train. The back is marked: Ahem Metal/Borsig/Gai MgCHy and with four bolts with the nuts present. The overall size is 24" X 13" 1/2 and the condition is very good with light wear.
I hope you can help, and I have attached pictures for you reference

Looks like a good bird to me.

They are soft sellers now and have been for some time. Where are you located?.

Yes, it is a good one.

I've had a couple, and they sell really well, The last one I sold went for £650. Because they are faked well, people are naturally sceptical.

I apologize, what I meant was they have come down a bit. But 1500.00 U.S would be a selling number. There about 6-7 of these available on various sites. You can ask amount you like.

    Nice Bird though!.

    Best,

Yeah, most of the ones I've seen are going for about 1500 to 1800. I'm just a little wary of the amount of fakes. They seem to have the correct markings on the back too.....

I'm actually picking my example up today...a larger 28 incher. I've been after one of these now for some time but wanted to make sure it came from a trusted connection. There are some pretty good fakes out there. You have to be careful! Nice bird! Does it mention LOK or Wagen on the back?
    Cheers!

I would have bought this 450 Euros fake, if it hadn't been for J.R. Meda's opinion.
