    Hi Gary, that looks like a nice purchase.

    The photo of him wearing the Luftwaffe Bergmutze is rather nice. I am sure it is that cap given the size of the visor and the date.

    His unit would have been a heavy Flak Regt. You can read a bit about them here:

    Ade thank you for the info.Now I'm going to have to spend more time on the computer trying to find this guy. The guy I bought it from said his tunic eagle was above the photo but at the last show he did someone walked away with it.

    Great album Gary, thanks for sharing. Now I wanna see those 1911's. I think the one standing out of the crowd was one of John Wayne's ancesters.

    Hi Gary, pity we cannot see the numbers/cyphers on the panzer soldier's shoulder straps. The use of the Feldgrau coloured Feldmutze would point to the photo being taken in early 1940 when the beret started to fall out of use. Also the jacket collar is unpiped which is unusual to see so early.
