They wouldn't have been awarded after the war but it is possible that these certificates were typed in anticipation of the award ceremony on Mother's Day which in 1945 would've been on 20th May.
The end of the war and regime came before the ceremony took place.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Interesting to see two different styles of certificate with the 1945 date. The one with the eagle would be the later style and used for the last couple of years of the war.
