It is definitely desirable to see such early Party Awards listed, as this man would be considered an "Alter Kaempfer" ("Old Fighter") as an early member of the Movement...This gave him elevated status and preferential treatment...
cheers, Glenn

I have been doing some research and found that the 1929 Party Rally badge was at one point the second highest NSDAP award. Other information says that it ended up fourth, behind the German Order, the Blood Order, and Coburg Badge. Is that correct?
It was indeed, after the Blutorden/Blood Order, of course...followed by the 1931 Coburg Badge...

There were 60,000 1929 Badges awarded, compared to only 436 Coburg Badges...Making it a much prized and rare award even during its time ...They are participants awards.

Thanks Glenn. Is there any way to tell if this man was awarded a Golden Party Badge, or if he was at least entitled to one even if he never got it? I seem to remember reading that they were available to those members under 100,000 with some other stipulations as to loyalty throughout the years up until issue.
I may have an explanation for the lack of Gold Party Badge...As it appears he joined in 1928, left the Party in 1930 and rejoined in 1931, so this may have something to do with that...Seems he couldn't make up his mind, lol...
cheers, Glenn
Wow I would love to own one of these, very neat item.
A 1929 Nurnberg Badge! Very Nice!
