Nice picture from around 1934 showing a group of Reichswehr Officers with members of the SA and SS.



The Reichswehr unit is Pioneer Battalion 3.

The photograph was taken at Café Restaurant Breitling-Plesdonat at Münsingen in Wurttemberg, location of a major military training area.

I don't think it still exists. I researched the restaurant's name (as seen in the photograph) and only came up with historical picture postcards etc.

Does the man in the centre of the front row have a bandaged head? It looks like that he might have but the photo isn't so clear. I wondered also if he might also be a member of the SS - it seems to be a photo around the time the Nazis took power, when I understand the SS were wearing both the new and 'traditional' uniforms; it also looks like he might have black rather than brown breeches.
