    Default OT Ersatzkarte...

    Hi,

Would someone help in understanding his war time activities?
Has anyone seen before such a large rubber-stamp as appearing on the front page? I think the red applied stamps on the photo are possibly post-war?

    Thanks.
    Neil.

The first interior page has data from medical examinations, the second one opposite it lists Typhus vaccinations.

The next double page shows two employments:
The first one is for "Einsatz Wiking" from 23 March 43 through 27 August 44 where he worked for the H. Sackmann company from Posen (= German name for Poznań). "Einsatz Wiking" was an OT operation in occupied Norway; its objective was to repair destroyed bridges and to build roads and railway lines as well as U-boat bunkers and airfields.
The second one is for "Einsatz Mittelnorwegen" (= Central Norway) from 28 August 44 onwards, where he worked for the Arge (abbreviation for Arbeitsgemeinschaft, i.e. consortium) Baum-Frietzsche from Lentschütz (= German name for Łęczyca) in the Wartheland.
In both cases, he was employed as a worker/laborer and paid by the hour.
Sorry, I can't quite make out the final entry at bottom right.

The final page on the left lists clothing and equipment he had been issued.

    Great Info!
I see also mentioning if Strindheim, on the cover in red, possibly post-war, and Drontheim, up to March 1945? might have spent the last years of the war in Norway...

One of the last entries is for May 7 1945, possibly day of surrender?
