    Hello,

Its German and French, looks like a worker permit for a Fench national to work in the Armement side of life. My French is no good but it looks like 'pyrotechnie' might indicate work with explosives or their componants. I'm sure some one will know for sure.

In the world of documents "TO" stands for Tranozean = Transocean!

What would be the reason for the french reversing the TO? We know that the Todt workforce would have been german and french so its possible but just wonder why you think it would be reversed!?

Because thats what the french do with their language, nato becomes the french version the initials remain the same but are used in a different order, hence todt organisation becomes organisation todt in a french accent. If the pass or stamp was made locally it would be naturalle for the person to do this. This is only a theory.

Yes that makes sense so in theory:
Could be OT - For working for Organisation Todt (French side)
    or
Could be TO - For TransOceanic for being foreign
    Hmmm...

    Hi,

After looking at this for a while, it seems to me that the "TO" stamp is associated with the stamp that blocks out the ID's expiration date, but I have no idea what it means or what could be the purpose.
