I have Paul Carells book Der Russlandkrieg. In the back
it has many of the Wehrmacht Division symbols. The one
for the 207th S(Wehrkreis II Stettin) is a perfect match
for the one on the cover of the map.
    Tks,
    Bob
    Bob,

Thanks for that, its funny how they took it for granted that everyone would know which Div it was.

    Cheers.

But that would not explain why a unit based in Stettin would have Hannover written on a sign on the map. I still think this belongs to 267 ID - a very close match for the divisional symbol and based in Wehrkreis XI (Hannover).
Plus as 207 Infantry/Sicherungs Division was a component of AG North the map would show them heading up to Lake Ladoga, not Moscow.

    Hucks,

I think you must be correct as it must be Centre rather than North, I will have a search around and see what I can find.

My previous post (post #5) gives a link to 267 ID and from that link you can see that the route on the map matches the route of that division.

    Hucks,

Your right the symbol matches, that is a good site! I couldn't work out how to find the map but I have had a few to drink and I am strapped! I will continue tomorrow.

    Thanks again.

There isn't a map on the Lexikon site but at the bottom of the page for the division it gives a break down of what Army Group etc that particular division belonged to and also where it was for any given month.
    Enjoy the drinks
