Photo of POW camp?

Article about: Hi all. I was told that this photo may be of a POW holding camp in which the Germans would have held captured troops in temporarily before moving them further behind the lines. Can anyone co

    Big Ed may be right about it being a WWi camp.. I'm not really able to differentiate WWi and II British uniforms, but looking at the photo again, it looks like there might be some French troops in there. In WWI, all the German distrubution camps were in Germany, but they did have temporary holding camps in France for certain clases of prisoners. But they were very short term before being sent into Germany. I don't know of any of the temporary camps being out in the open in France, where they were either former military prisons, or Army posts. the The men that I wrote about in Escape and Escape from Villingen all ended up in Karlsruhe for distribution based generally on nationality.
