My Duetsche is terrible these days. I purchased a couple of photo albums and several of the photos have descriptions on the rear.

Obviously he liked dogs as there are several photos with dogs in them.
can't read this writing well but there is certainly another that will have no problem with it coming along.
all i can tell you is the first picture begins "My best and truest friend and comrade." then it goes on to say something and then the name "Rolf" which perhaps is what he called the dog.
sorry i can not be of more help.
Templhof. Thank you. There is another photo with Rolf in it dated late 1944 also so my guess was this dog was with him through the war.
Some other photos in the book.
More
One more odd photo I picked up.
What i can tell you is that many of the photos are taken at Narva in Eastern Estonia , the Castle in the first batch you posted is the famous Ivangorod Fortress on the Russian side of the Narva river with the Hermannsburg fortress just visible to the right , the ones in the snow with the guy sitting on the railings are on the Estonian side !
Unfortunately your last photo is a fake,
regards
Paul

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Paul,
Thank you for the information about the location. I hoped someone might know it's location. I'm not surprised at the last photo being a fake. A client of mine found out I collected this stuff so he gave it to me. I guess the price was right.
Here are a couple more photos from the group.
Nice set of pics.
