Look at the sidecart of the motorbike, is it an unit insignia? The background of the picture says Russland 1942.

Definately looks like a Div unit tac sign but i'm not sure which one !!

The lower one is the tactical sign for anti-tank while the larger divisional sign is for 100 Jäger-Division...

Judging by the tan on the soldier I'd say that this was taken during the Fall Blau/Braunschweig summer offensive and the push to Stalingrad.
