Thank you my friends for the extra info. I've had this card a long time and feel a certain connection to Otto.

    Hi Kevin,

Was there a fixed number of death notice cards printed for each dead soldier? How many would have been printed?
    I collect, therefore I am.

Nothing in science can explain how consciousness arose from matter.

Death cards are no military matter; they were and are ordered and paid for by the deceased's family, who provide the photograph, choose the design and text and also decide about the number of cards.

As these cards were/are handed out at the funera / memorial service and presented or mailed to other friends and relatives not present there, the number wholly depends on the size of the deceased's family and circle of friends and acquaintances.

It can be anything from a few dozen cards to many hundreds.

Indeed it depends on how many cards the family ordered.

    He fell on 20.09.1944.
