What has this document to do with Holland?
The Diplomatic passport was used to 'escape' or leave Holland when the occupation began. I though that during the early stages and being a Diplomatic passport, it might be issued by a high ranking official. I also don't see the initials for I.A. next to the signature...(The passport holder's father was the High Court of Justice Chinese judge posted to the HAAG from 1936).
Some updates on this item: it was issued to the family member of the Chinese judge sent to represent China at the International Court of Peace in the Haag, the previous version of todays International Court of Justice. Seems all diplomats left Holland after the occupation, 1940, via a special train towards Basel, as indicated on the top part of this German issued visa.
