a question about West German passports

Hi,

Is there a date for the when the first West German passports were issued?
I presume it would be between 1954-1956...?

I can't find a specific date, but they were already around in 1953:

Yes, that is the first version, imprint is for the end of 1950.

I am trying to find out about this one here, added images; could be the "2nd edition", and is dated March 1956.
Was this second version from 1956 or earlier? 1954 or 1955?
(The one here was issued in West Berlin, and I thought they issued only Allied Command Berlin passports though...)
