Article about: My Great uncle found this during his time served in the medical corps. I don't know where exactly he got it, but he put it away when he got back to the states. I'd like to learn a little bit

    My Great uncle found this during his time served in the medical corps. I don't know where exactly he got it, but he put it away when he got back to the states. I'd like to learn a little bit about it.

    The seizure and consolidation of power by the Nazis during the years of the Third Reich greatly affected the Reichsbank. A 1937 law reestablished the Reich government's control of the Reichsbank, and in 1939, the Reichsbank was renamed as the Deutsche Reichsbank and placed under the direct control of Adolf Hitler, with Walther Funk as the last president of the Reichsbank, from 1939 to 45.

    I have three of these, and they are not too hard to find
    if you look for them. They are one of the most
    beautiful notes ever produced, IMO.......

    I agree that they were little works of art. I also like like the coins. Very bold looking, almost like a medal.
