I have three posters that supposedly were used by an Illinois High School History teacher in a class. They are 24 3/4" tall and 18 1/4" wide. Can anyone tell me what they may be worth or any other information? Thanks.

Keithwr: I just did a quick Google search and found one that you have posted for $11.50. Generally, they run from $10 to $20, and are easily found online. There are literally hundreds of them available, which isn't going to help the market value if you're looking to sell. Dwight

I guess I mis-represented my posters as reproduction. It appears they are original WW2. I found one on a Military Dealers Website and it is exactly like my red one, but in lesser condition. I did find ones like you mentioned but they were smaller and on light paper etc and definately reprints. Thanks for the help.

"US Anti-German Iron Cross Propaganda Broadside Poster An World War II Period "AWARD For Careless Talk" Home Front War Work Propaganda Poster.

This is an early war US printed (under War Department contract) poster featuring an Iron Cross (interestingly shown with a WWI ribbon).

The poster was printed by The Perfection Form Company, Logan, Iowa. It was issued by the Office of War Information as one of a series. Another in the series is shown below, printed under the same contract. Artwork was by a German artist living in the US.

The condition is near good overall, with some wrinkles from age and masking tape (removable) on the edges, as visible in the images. This poster was printed on very heavy stock.

The poster measures approximately 18-1/2 by 24 inches.

The condition is generally fair to near good throughout.

    $149.99 Available"

The ones you posted are indeed reprints, as you first implied.........

Keithwr: Walkwolf is absolutely right about those posters being reproductions. One of them has the following printed on it: "One poster of a series issued in WWII by Office of War Information," which means that it was printed after the war. Another has, "The Perfection Form Company, Logan, Iowa/Specialists in educational aids since 1926." Don't think that you're alone if you feel confused about this, we all get wrapped up in the moment and overlook the obvious occasionally. Dwight

I contacted Perfection Form Company and this is their reply:

"This poster is no longer available. This was in set 00289 originally printed in 1972. I think this has been OP since before 2001".

Thanks again to the forum members for helping me with the posters.
