Righteous Among the Nations issued war-time visa - 1940
Though this item is not connected directly to this part of the forum, I thought it as important enough to share here with us all.
A 1940 British Mandate of Palestine issued Identity Document for a stateless person, using it to travel to France, just before it was overrun by the Germans. The passport was then used to escape occupied France back to Palestine, and it has full of visas, one of them was issued by Aristides de Sousa Mendes secretary, Josť Seabra. The diplomat was later hailed as saving hundreds and even thousands of Jews by issuing them visas, defying orders not to from Lisbon.
The top left visa is recorded as one being issued by this courageous diplomat.
We sadly need more of those men today...

What a great item with a historically interesting link to the Holocaust.
