    Did he make a book?
Yes; the book's title is "Der letzte Zeuge: Ich war Hitlers Telefonist, Kurier und Leibwächter" and it is well worth reading. Unfortunately, though, it has not been translated into English yet. (French and Italian versions of the book exist.)

Yes, in the 2nd hardcover edition from 2008. I found it highly interesting to get the inside view on Hitler's surroundings and these historical events as seen through the eyes of an ordinary man. (Which is a perspective that has always interested me.) The title is also attractively presented and illustrated.

Other books do exist on the final days in the Fuhrer bunker which are in the English Langauge , Bernd Freytag von Loringhoven who was one of the Adjutants and former DKIG Panzer Officer wrote one which was very interesting and as far as films go Downfall is a pretty accuarate relection of those days !

Very sad indeed. I recall 20 years ago nearly every old neighbor was either a survivor or war veteran. Now, I do not see them any more...time is taking its course and as mentioned above, we will only be able to look back at our collections and history books...very sad.

I've got a Rochus Misch signed photo which i bought from a dealer, i saw him once on a Ubahn station in Berlin where people were queuing up to get his autograph, he just looked like a tired old guy who just wanted to quietly get on with his life.

After Otto Gunsche died Rochus became the focus of collector mania and was truly inundated with mail / requests for interview / visits etc , like many ordinary people who have " fame " thrust upon them he felt it all very tiresome but soldiered on with all the requests , he certainly deserves the time he has now !!
