Better than the normal fake ones you see ( with the turned wood handles ) but cant read this one to form an opinion.

If it is just a feldpost one it may be good - if it says führerhauptquartier then its a NO!

just got it. bottom says Nürnberg-Fürth and I can't quite make out the top, it stamps very lightly, sponge foundation is very soft and resilient,

Not stamping well is a bad sign IMHO. Lacks the detail normally seen but I do not collect these as of yet.

This same stamp was posted on GHW last week (if I remember correctly ) and was deemed a fake.

Found the link...correction...suspected to be a fake...but, my bad, it looks like it was your post over there as well.

thank you. i should have clarified that i did not use any new ink. i just rubbed some warm water on the stamp and used the old ink that was on it. this could be the reason it doesn't stamp well, perhaps.

Call me simple but I like it - its not as pretentious as the "turned wood SS emblazoned" ones normally seen and I like the red foam and little routed slide window - a good indication of its age to me. It could well be just a simple administrative stamp for the Nürnberg-Fürth district and as such is generally not 'sexy' enough to warrant faking.

Just my opinion ......
