    Hey LB023. Thanks!
Yes, that's pretty much what I came up with.

Just picked this one up from a dealer.
Bodo Spranz commander of the 1./Batterie of StuG Abteilung 237.
Awarded his RK after destroying 15 tanks in a single battle.
A very happy young man in this photo.

I visited Bodo on a few occasions at his home in Bremen , he spoke very good English , he was awarded the Ritterkreuz and the Eichenlaub on the same day.

He won his PVA in 1941 after the start of Barbarossa whilst with Sturmgeschutz Abt 185.

During one visit he gave me his RK /Eichenlaub 67 pattern stickpin as a gift which is one of my most prized items in my collection !!

The picture is in his home in Bremen , he is showing the pillow of all his original awards , the fact that he still has them he put down to being captured by the British ! When he was a British POW he was allowed to marry whilst wearing his uniform and original awards !!

He was a very nice man , he ended the war on Guderians staff and post war became a famous Archaeologist hence the title of Prof Dr Bodo Spranz . He also showed me his extensive photo albums of his entire service time throughout the war a truly remarkable record of a very brave man !

Clean the stuff on walls to relax (when stressed) including this large one of Otto Baum (Swords) today. I hired the artist and Baum signed 100.

Best likeness I have ever seen of any Waffen-SS personality by an artist. Amazing, she was 17 when it was done. Camera does not do it justice

Also a large format one inscribed by Macher (Oakleaves).

Best to all and be well, back to work (on book),
