On a lighter note, Herr Reinhard Hardegen has just celebrated his 102nd Birthday and is in remarkable heath still enjoying golf and still driving himself around.
I can say that we are all looking forward to his 103rd Birthday!

Only 74 of these heroes left gentlemen, so if they still in there advanced age like to receive mail (for example Herr Halm) I implore you to write to them and hear their story's.
    RIP

Thank you! I never knew what to think about Soeren Kam, but it's sad there are no more RKT from foreign SS legions.....

There was a rather large witch hunt against Soeren Kam where his claim to crime were never justified or validated. It is safe to say it was possibly Kam alone who knew the truth. Still a hard fighters and old soldier gone to rest.

You have to respect his service at the front, but his role in the killing of Clemmensen is dubious, to say the least..
I have written to Soeren Kam once, and I received a nice signed photo from him, but I have to admit it is the only photo in my collection which is a guilty pleasure for me to look at...

It is good to see that Herr Heder is still well.
I have corresponded with him twice, a very nice man.
