Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

With incredible sadness i must report that two of the most hospitable and wonderful men I was able to share correspondence with have both died in the space of a week. The last RKT of Afrika and the Last DKiG of Kurland.

My newest addition is General Hasso von Manteuffel. He commanded the 5th Panzer Army and was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds.

Also, very sorry to hear about Gunter Halm - he was such a gracious gentleman.
