Gents, Nice informative Debate......Its a shame that such a Book has been DE faced, like Jock I would have a copy of this as a shelf filler. The Stamp for me Lacks Quality, The Ruins are poor and unclear for such a stamp. Yes I've properly missed a hyphen in my reply

    Jock,
If you were a specialist in this field, you would know that the simple omission of something like a hyphen all adds to the greater picture and helps build a final assessment. The omission in the title of a SS main office is bad German.
As for the stamp...well, I'll leave that to other experienced collectors to enlighten you.
To the experienced eye, this dedication and signature is an obvious forgery, but there'll always be people who will disagree and labour the point over a two-bit piece of nonsense. I'm not one of them.
I'm sorry, but I can see we'll just have to agree to disagree, but that's what these forums are all about isn't it.
    All the best,
    Woske.
    Woske,

I never claimed to be a specalist in the field, perhaps if you had at the begining it could have been wrapped a bit sooner. I thought it worth a punt? A long shot not that expensive.

I take your 40 years of experience and bow to it.

That is what these forums are for regardless of the two bit value of an item, the mechanics appear the same (the prices have gone up a bit), so, if its not beneath you can you finish off what is wrong with the stamp, the department exists, I had a google as I don't dabble at SS stuff though(too expensive), have you seen it before on other items or is the format wrong?

There are a lot of researchers and experts out there, not always willing to spell it out, knowledge is power after all!

    Jock
