SS-Gruf. Odilo Globocnik collection

Article about: I can comment on the SS dagger. These are fantasy designs and no documentation of these exist for them being Third Reich in date. They originated from a militaria dealer in the North of Engl

The engraving is poor but the presence of an RZM mark on what purports to be a presentation peice is a further condemnation.

    Cheers, Ade.
Thanks again Adrian. That is something I did not know and illustrates perfectly my motives for this thread.

Again, a tacky, low quality offering. Not only is the engraving crap, but the name is reversed. How many gifts do you see with the surname followed by the first name? The steel is not even Müller Damascus production. An absolute car crash copy of the real thing.
Here are some photos of a real Paul Müller Damascus steel letter opener, based on the original design. This example is probably from the immediate post-war period when Müller is known to have continued manufacture of Damascus steel for a short time, but you can clearly see the difference in quality.

I have been reliably informed that the "Globocnik" paperwork here was allegedly once the property of a possibly inexperienced dealer in the USA called Brant Murphy. Sadly, Murphy was allegedly shot dead by a police officer in 2003 whilst suffering from acute depression.

Fella's I have a question for you all. Not to get off topic by any means, but just out of curiosity, what is a genuine Adolf Hitler signature on a piece of well preserved document worth?

It all depends on what it is on. Do you mean a clipped signature?

I remember the case of the dealer in question. Without wishing to speak ill of the dead, this was actually typical of much of the material he used to sell. His widow now runs his former business.

    Cheers, Ade.

Could you give me examples of both? I was leaning towards a single full piece of document I think would be neat to have in a display case along with a frame.

    Thanks a lot Woske.

Interesting thread, Like Paul at a glance I assumed these were possibly from your Collection W....However I see why you posted as you did. My opinion on the Signed Hitler Document is that it looks contrived, Its more a Gut feeling on the ageing and appearance of the Document.
