Unexpected Christmas Find
This week I was helping Dad go through some more of my Oma's and Opa's items. We found an old box of clothes and on the bottom was an old paper envelope. I opened it and much to my surprise we found many documents we thought were discarded or lost over the years. We found Opa's Army Discharge Papers, Oma's Visa, Birth Certificate, Documentation of Citizenship, A document on their marriage in Germany after the War and even an PersonalAusweis from My Great Grandmother Emilie Weber from 1961.
I know many of you have so much rich family history. It meant a lot for me to find this and was a great Christmas blessing for me to locate as I thought much of this had been lost.

That is amazing Kirk! Congrats! Needless to say, I'm sure you are stoked!
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Wow! A hidden Treasure Trove! Congrads!

Best part was Dad and I sitting together for a couple hours looking at old memories and then coming across them.
