Unknown Knights Cross Holder

Hi All

I have a selection of photo's borrowed from a friend.

Some have descriptions and British Official Photograph numbers etc but this one is missing the details. I am sure it had them when I first saw it with a description of "Unknown Knights Cross holder"

Do any of you fine folk have an idea who this gentleman is ?
