A rather interesting combat photo of Wehrmacht soldiers clearing a path through a barbed wire barrier. 14- Sep-42 I noticed the earlier jackboots on the troops.

I can't really read the writing. Not the best penmanship.
Hoping someone on the forum could possibly read the wrighting?
I can't read the writing, but the photo can be found elsewhere online.
Also, I'm sure it's from a training event, not a real combat situation.
Please remember that photos are also highly faked nowadays. All you need is a photo to print and some photo paper.
I can make out "Stalingrad, 14th of September 1942". I can assure you, it's not from there.
I appreciate the info.
I can read:
Stalingrad

Aufnahme unserer Kriegs.... (A picture of our war....)

Picture of the "Wehrmacht-Bildserie": "Der Freiheit, eine Gasse!" (An alley for freedom!)
Yes that's a blatant fake, well spotted Aleksander P. These war time prints should also probably have a Agfa mark on the paper, and often a crinkle edge.
I like the photos, and I like sharing them along with discussing them. The amount I have I imagined some would be reproductions. The good, the bad, and the ugly 😊
