Who was Oberst Martin Leske?
Gents,
I recently bought this picture of what appears to be Oberst(?) Martin Leske from a local antique shop. I noticed that he was a Ritter Kreutz holder as of 8/19/44. There isn't much about him and was wondering if anyone can shed some light? He is positioned second from the left.

Born: 17th Aug 1917 at Rothenburg
Died: 7th Jan 1981 at Augsburg
Won the RK as the commander of I./Jäger-Rgt 49 (28 Jäger-Division) on 19th Aug 1944.
Finished the war as a Major but joined the post-war Bundeswehr and retired as an Oberst on 30th Sept 1975.

Anyone know how his Rk was earned?
His RK was earned during the retreat of from Minsk to Ostpreußen.

I am Oberst Martin Leske's son. In the picture he is not the second from the left but the second from the right.
