Up date, Info Taken From Book, Battle Of The Baltic 1918-1945. Provided by a Kind Member Hucks

Z25 provided escort for Prinz Eugen & Lutzow (along with Z35 & Z36, and 4 torpedo boats providing effective protection for the big ships & destroyers) from 6th October 1944 and not only providing escort but also taking part in the bombardment of Russian forces assembling near Memel. The task force also beat off numerous air attacks from the Soviet air force. Z25 was also part of a bombardment force (consisting of Prinz Eugen, Z25, the destroyer Paul Jacobi & 2 torpedo boats) that supported a counter-attack by XXVI Korps in January 1945 that attempted to restore a link between Memel & Konigsberg.

With that in mind it does look like the sailor won his EK during the bombardment ops against the Russians around Memel. I think it is safe to assume that apart from returning to port for stores & maintenance Z25 would of taken part in many other bombardment operations from October 1944 to the end of the war.
