This medal and legitymacja card is for participating in the September 1939 campaign in Poland. My father received the same medal and Legitymacja wards. I think this medal was issued in the 1980s !?!
Fantastic grouping !! This soldier was in the infantry, RAF, and a paratrooper !! Its hard enough to obtain a grouping from one of these catagories let alone all three !!

This forum is an incredible achievement.
We probably have the best in the World Forum dedicated to Polish Free Forces.
Very exclusive club
Quality of items presented + knowledge of all of You is really impressive!
The recently posted grouping will remain unchallenged for years!
Small contribution for me tonight.
4 Karpacki Infantry Battalion
Unassuming badge of the Battalion that had seen a lot of combat action during the Italian campaign.
Has anybody got the rest 3,5,6,7,8 for remaining Karpackis’ Battalions
You have a beret badge for the 4th Coy, 2nd Carpathian Rifle Bde.....
It exists with 4 - 5 - 6 or a blank center for Bde HQ
Here’s my 5th Battalion version.
Also pictured below is Major Jan Gazur of the 6th Battalion BSK with the unit badge visible on his beret.
Has anyone got the badge of Officers’ Legion – a very small unit of Polish Army / Second Corpus in Middle East.
I have seen a few badges over years, but have never been 100% sure if they had been genuine.
The badge was made in Cairo - - I guess around 42-44.
I know the history of the unit – would be good to see pictures of an orginal badge
