    Default Alegoria Polski?

    Hello All,

Took a chance on this eagle, as I thought it would look good on my desk at work The seller was in Poznan, so fair chance is that it is Polish

In any case, I've been trying to identify it and my working hypothesis is that is most closely resembles the Alegoria Polski (see badge below). Any thoughts or opinions? Anyone come across an eagle like this?

    Cheers,

    Brandon

Hi Brandon, nice looking piece. I'd agree with the similarity as both eagles have the broken chains symbolizing freedom from domination and oppression. Any signatures or other marks that could help provide a date?

    Hello Tony,

Unfortunately not. I do not see any visible markings or signatures. Alas, like so many purchases, the mystery continues...

    Cheers,

    Brandon
