Hi Justin,

My encounters with jewelry items using pre-war coinage is that they are post war made items. I suppose this was a means of making a patriotic statement in communist controlled Poland or elsewhere, depending on where these were made. Also, it may have been illegal in pre-war Poland to use current issue coinage in this manner, although I do not know this for certain.

It was and is illegal in Poland to use current coins to make some jewellery even destroying current money is illegal according to the law. But I think that someone wouldn't made jewellery from actual coins.. It would be rather strange or funny to me for example seeing jewellery made from 50 groszy actual coin

. I would say it was made in communist Poland from pre-war coins as a kind of sentimentally items like we made a patriotic jewellery after powstanie styczniowe in 1863-64. Sorry for my english ( doing lot of mistakes I know I know : ) )

Are they for Officers, Ncos or for other ranks (enlisted men), please ?
