    Default collective paszport - names...

    Hi,

This is a collective paszport used for Hungary in 1923.
Is there a way to find out if some on the name list served during the war?
What happened to them after 1939?

    Thanks,
    Neil

...another fascinating passport. Never see a collective passport before, why was it issued as a collective?

There were two kinds of passports in Poland, collective and individual. The collective passport was used for tours, private tours, and for athletic clubs to travel to a different country for games, etc. PRL followed the suit past 1945.
The guys in pictures are all young, most born in 1906/07, they would be 17 years old at the time, and they looked fit so most likely this passport was used for a sporting event.

    Many thanks for the explanation
The only vaguely similar passports I have seen are those in the UK when young children were added to a mother's passport as they were not old enough to have one in their own names.

Now tro try and trace the sport event back then and their fates after 1939, a much more difficult task indeed...
