Great-grandfather's uniform
I might be posting this in the wrong board but I don't have a date for this photograph. I'm guessing it might be pre-WW2 simply due to the age of the photograph. It is a photo of my great-grandfather and I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify what he is wearing. I noticed the badge on his hat and stripe on his sleeve but have no idea how to identify them. He is Polish and I believe he came from what was the Wołyń region of Poland. Many thanks!

Hello gentlemen,
It is the uniform of the polish army created in France in 1914/1915.
The polish migrant in France & USA are incorporated in the named "Armée bleue de Haller" (blue army of Haller)
equiped by the french army (bleu horizon, blue uniforme) but with the typical polish army cap.
Best regards from Alsace , France.
Carfin.
