Hello TajPol,
May I be the first to welcome you to the Forum and thank you for posting the photographs of your Great Great Grandfather Ryszard Pol, what I have found is as follows:

Your Great Great Grandfather was awarded the following awards whilst serving in the Polish 2nd Corps :
Polish Awards :
1) Medal Wojsko (Army Medal)
2) Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 10154

3) 1939-1945 Defence Medal
4) 1939-1945 War Medal (If awarded)
Along with all the above items your Great Great Grandfather would have received a Legitymacja (Authorization Card, with his details on), just in case you do not have them I have added a few below for you to see.
Medal Wojsko Legitymacja obverse
Monte Cassino Cross Legitymacja obverse
2nd Corps Badge Legitymacja obverse
3rd Carpathian Rifle Division Badge Legitymacja obverse
3rd Carpathian Rifle Division British Stars Legitymacja obverse
I have searched through the index of victims of soviet repression, Polish soldiers at Tobruk and could not find Ryszard listed in either.
The only other information that I was able to find was that after the end of the war he came with his Regiment to the UK settled and in 1957 he married Alena T Hilarczynska in Warwickshire. I have also found that Ryszard applied for and was granted British Citizenship on the 12th December 1962 whilst living in Moseley.
TajPol, if you wish to know anything further about your Great Grand Fathers service record, you will need to apply for a full copy of his service record from the British Ministry of Defence, the link to their website is below.

Once again TajPol welcome to the Forum and please let us know how you get on.
Best wishes

Thank you so much!!
I've been searching for this information for ages, However, I don't believe he married again after leaving Poland nor applied for British Citizenship, but thank you.

Hello Tajpol,
Many thanks for your reply, where did your Great Great Grandfather Live and where did he die exactly, that would provide the answers to your questions.
Many Poles applied for and where granted British Citizenship if they wanted a Passport, General Dyw. Klemens Rudnicki was one.
I await your answer Tajpol.
Best wishes
Andrzej

Andrzej,
I honestly do not know where he doesn’t exactly, he did live once London in the alternate years if his life, so he mostly likely died there. I also did find information revealing he was actually born in 1909. I hope this helps. Thank you again.
