Hello all.
I am very rare guest in this forum, but I wanted to share something from my personal collection.
I have a identity papers from Vilnius city from interwar period.
I had some opinions that he was a police officer or a soldier. Maybe You will know more. Anyway, this person spoke Polish, Russian, German, French. This document was issued in Vilnius under Polish rule (stamps from 1933) in interwar period. Later stamps mark 1939, 1940 with Lithuanian markings and stamps. So, this person saw the vibrant history of Vilnius city. But no more stamps from post-1941 06 when Soviets occupied Lithuania. The story of the document stops in 1941 01 12.
