Default Polis Eagle badge identity required

    Dear fellow collectors,

I inherited a this small silver eagle from my grandfather. Unfortunately it is incomplete. The the legs were part of the the thread and screw back sadly mlost. I have been told tht it may be American for the 1863 uprising. That sort of made sense as my grandfather was from America and moved to Poland after 1918.

I would be grateful if anyone could identify this eagle for me.

    Welcome to the forum Robert!

It looks very much like a piece of patriotic jewelry, which, as you know, was very popular in the years before independence in 1918 and during the Second Republic era. Sorry that I cannot shed any more light on it. Hopefully someone else here will be able to provide a positive ID.

    Regards,
    Tony
