Hey Brannow
First off welcome to the forum,Your badge is acually not exile but a original pre-war badge.I cant tell you who the marker is but i do know that BM stands for Bialy Metal (White metal).
Nice badge im jelous of it
Isn't this made in France 1940?
Still I guess it should be moved elswhere from underground section as this eagle has got nothing to do with AK.

A very nice surviving original example of a Skarnicki and Fiszbein land forces hat badge made between 1935 – 39. It has the correct oxidized or antiqued finish as mandated by revised military regulations for all metal uniform components (buttons, badges, buckles, etc.) tha remained in effect until the outbreak of WW2.
A beauty!

Happy to be of help Bill. And a belated welcome to the forum!
One more bit of info to offer you is this is an officer grade badge that would typically found on the traditional four cornered 'rogatywka' army cap.
Cheers,
Tony
