    Hi Tony,

the badge of Junior School Nr 2 was reproduced by Panasiuk, but his work is simple and light recognizable. Picture attached.

    regards

Thanks Tom. I did not know that Panasiuk made these. I suppose it would have been a safe assumption though.

    Cheers,
    Tony

    Hi,

Here you can find whole offer of this craftsman:

    Grawer Andrzej Panasiuk - Krzy

Only faces are shown on his webiste, but he is using screwdiscs signed with his name and adress, like on this badge. Major problem is with crosses (i.e. VM) and other decorations without disc, especially if they are antiqued.

    greetings
    Tomasz

    Hi Jurek,

Dalkowski is not noted in the W.B. Mos or Sawicki / Wielechowski references as a known maker. The recognized official producers were A. Nagalski and B. Grabski.

I've done some quick digging for info and have found (not surprisingly) that copies of this badge have been produced. The one you have pictured is one of these copies, dating from the 1970's:

    Hi guys,

I have two other regimental badges to your attention. Both are of relatively good quality (not modern Panasiuk's work), but disc are not named. Probably better old copies?

The first one is of 15 Pułk Ułanów Poznańskich

Hello Tomasz, your suspicions are correct these are old copies. Although reproduced reasonably well, the quality falls short of original badges. The easiest way to pick this particular 15PU out as a copy is from the eagle's talons resting on the saber. Gontaczyk and Zygmaniak badges did not have the pronounced "cut" running through the talons that follows the bottom curve of the saber's blade.

    Regards,
    Tony

ID:	998710Small curiosity. Badge Border Guards battalions formed based battalions of National Defence in 1926. However clasp leeched. The original also had a clasp in the form of a safety pin. Does anyone have more information on this topic? I unfortunately only so much could be established.
