Article about: Hi.It's a virtuti militari thread so I'm just curious.Is that original Polish armed forces in the West virtuti with engraved 1944 date on the back? Cheers.

    Hi Tony,

    You are absolutely right. The War Relics Forum is a treasury of invaluable knowledge and experience acquired for a very long time in most cases. Unfortunately, some people are looking here for a shortcut.... I can even understand this and forgive but I hate when someone is cheating. It is not fair if you are helping and dealing with your great and valuable knowledge and receive in return tissue of lies. It would be much better if he just ask for some research instead of telling the fake story and creating ideology....

    It looks more like 7505 as the top of the last numeral is flat.

    Hello Everyone,

    Back in the 1980's I visited the Józef Piłsudski Institute in London and photographed a number of items this is a piece of the Grand Cross Sash ribbon of the Grand Cross of the Order Wojenny Virtuti Militari that was placed on the Marshal's coffin.

    Hello Jaxmon,

    In reply to your post re Recipients of the Virtuti Militari Numbered 9109 and 9738 they where awarded to the following:

    Virtuti Militari Numbered : 9738 was awarded to Private Constantin Boiangiu of the Romanian Army, Army Orders dated 27th February 1922

    Virtuti Militari Numbered : 9109 was awarded to Ulan Jan Morawski 2DSP for France 1940.
