Default WW1 Cigarette Case with Polish Battles

    Hello All,

I picked this cigarette case up recently. It has pre-1920 Austrian silver hallmarks, and I believe that the insignia denotes the Landwehr Ulanen Regiment Nr. 4 (confirmation or opinions greatly welcomed).

This regiment was 85% Polish in 1914 and participated as a part of the 1st Army that pushed toward Lublin at the start of the war (from the best that I can tell). Cannot find too much information about it, to be honest.

The interesting thing for me was that all the battles listed have the Polish names listed rather than German. Thoughts and opinions greatly welcomed!

    Cheers,

    Brandon

    Hi Brandon,

Unfortunately I cant provide any further information, but I was intrigued by the similarity of the technique of applying the signatures to the inside of the case. Have a look at my post to see the case I am trying to get info on. Hope you get some info soon. Best regards, Pete
