    Hi Munchener,

Youíve identified it correctly as a wz.35 pattern helmet. This one has undergone some modifications to the liner and chinstrap, not to mention the bizarre paint scheme. Prior to WW2 these found use in paramilitary anti-gas anti aircraft units (painted light grey) and also firefighting (chrome plated).

    Tony

    Hello Tony!

About the paint scheme: there is NO paint on the helmet. It is not a steel helmet. It is made of Polyester or vulkanfiber. The white you see on the helmet, is cloth , hardened with a sort of fibre-glass. That is why i have not seen this helmet anywhere before. .. hope someone has and can tell more about it. Thanks for your reaction Tony!!

Yes, it's 'in the raw' - no paint ! Same type of material/composition that
the U.S. M1 helmet liner is made from - Interesting and unusual !

Perhaps this is an Experimental or economy version.......?
    Regards,

    Steve.

    Hi again Munchener,

Well that explains a few things! But it also creates new questions. All I can add is that it is nothing Iíve encountered before. Good luck with your hunt for more information.

    Regards,
    Tony

It is typical post war helmet used by the firemen. Absolutly not military.
