11th supply company, 1st armoured div.

Article about: Greetings, I especially like the bullion cap eagle also. Have not seen a nice one like that before. These items would look very nice framed together like some of the other ones that we have

    Hi All,

On translating the book I have on the supply branch I came across a few words that I could not translate. Please can anybody help?

    They are,

    I-e uzup.
    Druz. zam. kier.
    ropa
    oleje
    opal

While Google spell check is ok for most of it, it doesn't get all of it,

    Cheers,

    Colin

    Hi GFC,

I think it may be to do with coal and coke, so i think it may translate as fuel?

still does not ring a bell, but probably fuel for kitchens or heating -

Opal: actually pronounced opaw --- means literally fuel, I remember coal being called opal, also wood being used na opal (for fuel).

    Hi there,

Thanks to you both for your answers. The dictionary link is great as i only have a English keyboard that doesn't have polish letters on it,

    Cheers
